Enjoy an outback style morning tea of fresh damper or spotted dog and billy tea. Damper is a traditional Australian soda bread made by swagmen, drovers and stockmen and popularised among the aboriginal people.  It’s made of wheat flour baked in the hot coals of a campfire. Aboriginal women had traditionally made bush bread with nuts and seasonal grains cooked in the ashes of a fire.

Witchetty grubs are the larvae of moths and beetles. These larvae are found in bore holes in shrubs and trees – commonly the Witjuti bush. They are eaten raw or cooked often being compared to eating a hybrid of scrambled eggs and peanuts. The grubs are fished out of the bore holes using thorny long stems. Aside from being great eating, the grubs the Warlpiri are used to soothe sore eyes and dry skin. The grubs commonly grow to a length of up to  15cms.
